Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Carl Jung wrote: “They do not deceive, they do not lie, they do not distort or disguise … They are invariably seeking to express something that the ego does not know and does not understand.” The founder of analytical psychology saw dreams as the psyche’s attempt to communicate important things to the individual, and he valued them as a way of knowing what was really going on.
